The Touch Panel of the T14MZ contains a plastic film and two very thin glass sheets. A hard object, excessive pressure or metal object can break this glass!
It is strongly recommended to only touch the Touch Panel with the included rubber-tipped stylus pen or your fingertip, a LIGHT TOUCH is all that is required.
PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING THINGS:
You may want to do a "Screen Calibration" (see page 33 in your manual) when you first get your transmitter, to avoid any problems and protect your screen from any damage that too much pressure may cause.
There is a split second delay from the time you touch the panel until the time the screen changes. This is normal!
The screen requires only a very soft touch of your finger tip, it does not require "pressing" on the screen.
Calibration Instructions:
Go into the "System" menu, touch "Display"
In the bottom right-hand corner touch "Touch Screen Cal."
When the screen says "Calibration is started. Sure?" You will just touch "Yes".
Your screen will turn grey and you will see a cross hair in the center of your screen. LIGHTLY touch the center of this cross hair for approximately two seconds, then remove your finger or rubber tipped stylus. The cross hair will now move to one corner of your screen. Again lightly touch the center of the cross hair for approximately two seconds. You will do this once for the center and once for each corner of your screen.
When all five points have been touched the cross hair will disappear. At this time, touch anywhere on the screen to take you back to the "Display" menu and your calibration is complete.
